In choosing a car, the color is one of the first things that come to mind. Can you guess what three color choices are THE MOST popular choices? Here are three hints: white, black and silver. Chances are extremely high that you’ve seen these color of vehicles on the road.

When it comes down to it, your car represents you on the road. How you drive. What you drive. Our status. Cars can say a lot about the driver or owner. So let’s take a look at what these colors might hint or represent about our choice…or even ourselves.

Black - Powerful, classic, and elegant: black tends to exude an air of power and importance. Ever notice the caliber of people who drive or ride in big, black vehicles? Presidents, diplomats, people of stature, authoritative figures, etc. This color also easily gives off the presence of luxury and sophistication, making for a striking impression. Choosing this car color indicates that you wish to exude these qualities yourself.

White - Pure, pristine and direct: White is a traditionally a color of purity. Similar to the color black in alluding to sophistication, this color also is one that demands a little more effort to keep clean and pristine. Those driving this choice of color make command and demand a little more than your average person. Their standards may even be a little higher than the next person’s. You know what you want.

Silver - Glamorous, innovative and sleek: Silver has flair and those who choose this color choice may appreciate a bit of flash and elegance. Silver is like the next level up from gray. It’s a little more. That extra something. These people may even like the glamorous life. Luxury looks good in silver.

Red - Sensual, dynamic, and outgoing: Bold, very bold. People who drive in the red like attention and are vibrant. Red is one of them most expressive colors and represents passion, so there’s a sensuality you don’t mind publicizing when you fly down the road. These individuals are outgoing and like to stand out from the pack. You may even be a go-getter.

Blue (Light or Dark) - Calm, faithful, true, confident, credible and authoritative: There’s a reason we trust social networks like Facebook and Twitter. “It reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order - we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky. It slows the metabolism. The paler the blue the more freedom we feel.” The psychology behind the cool blue hue corresponds with trust, honesty and loyalty. It’s a sincere and reserved color that doesn't necessarily want to draw attention. Lighter shades of blue are also linked to creativity. The color blue is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and our ability to communicate our needs and wants. It inspires higher ideals. Blue's wisdom comes from its higher level of intelligence, a spiritual perspective. Does this describe an aspect of your personality, blue car owners?

Gray (Grey) - Neutral, sober, practical: What you see is what you get with the straight-forward owners of gray cars. People who chose this color of car may be very practical and very pragmatic. You may make lists and prefer to talk things out.

Earth Tones (Brown, Beige and Tan) - Powerful, natural, down-to-earth unique: these tones are powerful like the big three (black, white, silver/gray), but more subtle in the approach. These warm, rich hues definitely read as no-nonsense and down to earth. You’re prudent, perhaps one with nature and appreciate the natural aspects in life. Brown hues tend to remind us of chocolate, coffee, and all the comfortable, warm things in life we enjoy. You simply can’t go wrong with this one.

Green (Dark or Light) - Well-Balanced, trustworthy, traditional, organic, no-fuss, understated: Someone seated in a green ride usually leads a well-balanced life. Tradition and authenticity comes to mind with individuals for green.

Gold - Warm, intelligent, glamorous: Similar to the relationship between gray and silver, gold is the next level up from yellow. There’s a warm glamor to this choice of color. This personality seems very comfortable in their own skin, all while being held as renown because of its rarity. Gold obviously isn't commonplace.

Yellow - Joyful, sense of humor: It’s not every day you see a yellow ride, so when you do, it’s a nice breath of fresh air. Much like a comedic relief in a serious drama or the glimpse of youthfulness you appreciate every now and then. Yellow has a light and sunny disposition, so it’s only natural that the driver of this choice color personifies these qualities. There’s also a certain boldness to anyone who drives a yellow vehicle in a mass of darker-colored vehicles, wouldn't you say?

Your color choice in your whip may likely indicate aspects of your personality that are either overt or dormant. How accurate is your choice of car color to who you are or who you want to be?
